Virginia Siegel

Dinner Party Guest Series ~ June 2026

After a long week of work, you take a big sigh, ready to welcome the weekend. As you gather your mail, you notice a thick leopard-print envelope that could only come from one person: Virginia Siegel. Virginia has never been one to spare any expense when it comes to her glamorous gatherings. But the couch calls to you.

The back of the card reads, “May I have a tini-bit of your time?” Maybe this is a gathering you could slip in and out of. Why not visit your favorite fashionista for a drink or two? After the week you just had, let’s make it a few!

After a quick change into your cocktail hour best, you order an Uber because driving won’t be an option after Virginia convinces you to down a few of her signature dirty martinis. After the third Uber cancels, you’re about to give up and call it a night when you finally confirm a ride. Why is everyone canceling on you?

As you step into your car, the driver confirms your destination. “Not many folks want to drive by that place,” he says, attempting to strike up a conversation. You smile politely and pretend to ignore him, saving the last bit of your social energy for Virginia. Luckily, traffic through the hills has died down, so the trip only takes a few minutes.

The car pulls up in front of the stunning 7,100-square-foot, 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom mansion in Beverly Hills. As you step out of the vehicle, the driver says, “Be safe and have a good night,” while holding up his fingers like a gun and letting out a soft “pew” sound as he plays around.

Once inside, you remove your coat as the butler who welcomed you takes it from you. “Cocktail hour is in the living room,” he says calmly, gesturing toward the front of the house. “Mind yourself in there.” He slips away with your coat as you enter the living room. The air smells of vodka, vermouth, olives, and cigars. Virginia turns to greet you as you walk through the threshold.

“Shots fired!” Virginia laughs over the rim of her glass. “If you don’t know by now, I don’t really know what to tell you. Lips sealed and all.” She winks and pops an olive from her glass into her mouth.

“Because we are such good friends, I know you’ve been having a rough week. So have I!” Virginia motions to the bartender to refill her drink. “We need a break. That’s why I invited you here this evening – to loosen up!” She holds her now-filled glass towards you, clinking the rims of your martinis together. You both smile and throw back your drinks just like old times.

“Don’t be alarmed, but I packed you a bag of all my latest designs. We are taking the jet to an all-expenses-paid trip to the Flamingo Hotel in Vegas! A family treat, of course.” Virginia leaps out of her seat, grabs your hand, and leads you to your next adventure.

“Is that the secret?” you ask, as the bartender rushes behind the both of you, attempting to fill your empty glasses. He manages to get about 40% of the drink in your glass and the rest all over the couch and floor of the living room.

“I want this room spotless when I get back. I want no memories of the horrors that took place here!” Virginia yells as you run out the door.

Once settled on her private jet, you finally get a chance to speak. “Gini, what’s the tini secret you wanted to tell me?” You continue to sip from your martini mid-air.

Virginia sighs, stirring her drink with the four olives on a gold cocktail pick. “My husband has decided he is done with me,” she says, throwing back the rest of her drink. Before she can even place the glass down, the bartender fills it to the brim again. “He seems to have forgotten who he married. So, our little impromptu trip to the Flamingo is for some of my grandfather’s acquaintances to take care of business.” She smirks, bringing the glass to her lips to sip, but pauses. “Now it all makes sense why they called my man ‘Little Bugsy’; they must have known he was going to go out the same way.” She drinks her martini and signals for another round. “So, let’s let loose and have some fun! We don’t need to worry about him anymore.”
